NWT SPCA Raffle!
The NWT SPCA is excited to announce that we are now selling tickets for our raffle! Tickets are only $10 and come with the chance to win some amazing prizes:
Grand Prize: 1.51 ct Diamond, Marquise Brilliant Cut
2nd Place: Johnny Pag Malibu 320i Motorcycle
3rd Place: Trip for Two courtesy of First Air, for use anywhere in the Western region
All proceeds from the raffle will go toward the operation of our Yellowknife Shelter and our Spay/Neuter Clinic!
Tickets are available from Dana at Sutherland Drugs and at all NWT SPCA events until July 26.

This Thursday May 16th at City Council Chambers (11:30 AM to 1:00 PM) you can have a chance to share your thoughts on the new proposed Dog By-Law. Among many positive proposed changes in the new Dog By-Law there is one controversial one that requires the publics input.

Our Bottle Recycling Initiative-On going!
Bring all your bottles to the Bottle Depot located on Old Airport Road and donate proceeds to the NWT SPCA account. Every bit helps and all money will go towards our shelter and rescue programs! We have had $100's of dollars donated this way.

Pennies for Pets! Get them in SOON!
This NEW initiative is to help raise money for our Animal Shelter. The Federal Government is discontinuing the penny from circulation. Up until December 31, 2012 the banks will be taking them. We are asking everyone in the NWT to save your pennies and donate them to the NWT SPCA. If you are in Yellowknife we have four locations for drop off. Both Borealis Pet Supplies and Kennels down town and in Kam Lake, The Source in the Mall, City Cab, Bumper to Bumper and Sutherlands Drugs are helping us out. You can roll them yourself or drop off loose change. Thank you so much for all your support!
